The maker lists 8 exact lens configurations against 15 EOS R body names in this TS-E lenses table. Select the complete configuration, including an extender if named. This lookup reports focus-area coverage only.
What this table measures
Percentage values describe the horizontal and vertical portion of the relevant frame where AF or the manual-focus guide can operate under the maker’s stated conditions. They do not confirm physical attachment, lens autofocus hardware, AF-C performance, video behavior or safe rear clearance. A manual-focus lens can have a focus-guide area without gaining autofocus.
How to read “Variable”
When the maker prints “Variable,” the area depends on AF area mode or subject detection. Its whole-area example is 100% horizontal × 100% vertical; one no-subject example is 90% horizontal × 100% vertical. Those examples are not a universal value for every mode.
Conditions to keep with the row
- RF-S and EF-S values on full-frame cameras refer to the APS-C 1.6x crop area.
- An area value must not be interpreted as autofocus capability for a manual-focus lens or as universal mounting compatibility.
- EF and EF-S configurations on EOS R require the appropriate adapter; retain the exact extender configuration in the row label.
For EF and EF-S configurations on EOS R, use the appropriate maker adapter and check the separate exact-pair evidence. A blank or unsupported feature cell must not be turned into an overall mounting verdict.
