Ring direction
A step-up ring starts with the lens thread at 86 mm and presents a larger filter thread. A smaller front filter requires a step-down ring and may vignette.
What this does not prove
Thread size alone does not verify hood clearance, magnetic-system coupling, frame thickness or corner shading. Test at the widest focal length.
